3--speed trans questions for 63 econoline

Jim or anyone else:

I have a "63" econo PU with a 140 I6, is there any swaps for this three speed to get a little pick up? Or will I get this when I put in the 200 I6? The 140 is real slow to get out in front of traffic when I am on an incline. This 3-speed is on the floor. Is there anywhere I can get a wiring schematic for this as well? Thanks all!

By the way, has anyone else done the swap out on the front brakes to the "69" mustang spindles and discs?

the tranny will not help on the power part, but the engine sure will!
if you have it out, find a synchro tranny, [ top cover, not side cover], and swap it in. a little tougher, and a whole lot easier to shft.
do you want a schematic for the whole truck?
the mustang disc swap uses 67 parts, and doesnt use the spindle. you have to have it shortened.

i will email the parts list for the swap, and 3 others as well.

is this a four-speed? Yes I know on the spindle, the stop at the face has to be brought in by a 1/4 inch, right? The schematic is so I can re-wire the whole truck.
