390's used an 11 1/2" clutch on a 12 7/8" bolt circle. The same flywheel was used in all 1965/76 390's.

The 460 engine changed mid-year 1979 not in 1977.

1971/78 and
some 1979 460's with the
D1VE block casting number prefix do
not use a weighted spacer.
Some 1979 460's with the
D9TE block casting number prefix USE a weighted spacer.
Since this was a "running change" that occured midyear 1979, there is no before/from a certain production date or serial number.
D9TE blocks use a
different harmonic balancer and flywheel than the
DIVE blocks.
Your 460 starter info is also
in-correct!

stangboy_82: 1980/82 F250/350's were not available with 460 engnes, but Econolines were.
The 460 was re-introduced in F250/350's in 1983.
No 460's in 1977 and later F100's / No 460's in 1980 and later F150's / No 460's in passenger cars after 1978.
