I am looking at a 2001 CC F350 at the locol dealer. The truck is a local truck, with all the service records. Has 56,000 miles on it. The transmission has been replaced twice, the second time after they took it in on trade. The salesman said the guy that had it would not take it out of overdrive when he was pulling his trailer. They will warranty it for 36,000 miles. Should I worry about the transmission or not??? Everything is stock on the truck. Anything else to look for? Thanks alot.

 

If they will warranty it for another 36k I would go for it if the price is right. Thats low miles for a diesel. You really can't hurt a 7.3. I have 37k on my 2001 right now with no transmission problems yet. If you do buy it check into a shift kit for the tranny.
