Diablo Delta and a FFV Taurus...

Ken,

I have just purchased a Diablo Predator for my already Diablo Delta chipped F-150, and should be getting it tomorrow.

I want to pull the Delta out of the F-150 and put it in my wife's 00 3.0L vulcan Taurus FFV.

I would like to know if it would be possible to program the chip for a stock/93 octane regular /100+ octane E85 set up.

The reason I'm asking this is because I have access to cheap 100+ octane E85, it usually costs the same as 87 regular. Currenty the vehicle only sees about a 5% gain from the high octane E85 as it really doesnt take full advantage of the high octane E85. I am hoping that this would be a way to really wake this car up cheaply since it is already outfited with the proper gas tank and fuel lines for E85.

I tried doing a search for this type of question, and have netted a big goose egg.

I will post the computer code as soon as the wife gets off of work.

Sure, it can be done and it will give some good power but be aware that E85 tends to result in a mileage decrease on Ford FFV. From Iowa's own web site, they say a 5-15% drop. You won't experience that bad of a drop because the tune is optimized for it, but be aware that it can happen.

I think that I've decided not to put the chip in the Taurus. Instead, I plan on selling it.

BTW, I got the predator, what an awesome tool!

Thanks much!
