How much lift did you get? I got a 6"lift with new 35" tires recently. If I didn't have running boards, I wouldn't be able to get in. But I love it!
Very nice!
I got a BDS 6" lift with Bilstien shocks & dual stabilizers. So far, pretty impressed. Springs raised the front 6.5" (and its a diesel). Put on a set of 37x12.5x16 on mickey thompson classic II's. Truck looks good. Tires are loud, but so far, I'm having fun. I'll post the pics (post lift) tonight.

I'll do some searching for the auto runningboards. I think I'll head in my buddies shop, and invent a truck elevator. Just think, a big step that comes down to 1" off the ground, you step on it, and it carries you to within 1" of the cab. Make it capable of working on 4" to 16" lifts. I think it can be done.

the "TRUCKOVATOR"....

If you just put the lift in, it'll settle a little and you'll loose that extra 1/2", takes a couple months.

Robin, no hurry

My F-250 is really dirty from all the salt and stuff on the roads, we got about 2-3" but it's been cold so it hasn't melted. Suppose to be in the 40s tomorrow so it should all go away. There are very few things I don't like about winter, but salty trucks is one of them, as well as not having outside water to hose them off. Plus, I don't bring my trucks though the carwash so I usually just hose them off w/ the quarter machines.

Washing in the winter is about the hardest thing, and the salts so bad for the truck to, I use my wash/service bay where i work, its heated, and has a nice steam cleaner, always good for removeing the salt,

So everybody having fun with winter yet, I swear every year people get worse and worse the first storm, monday I had classes in manchester NH, its like normaly half hour, took well over an hour, and there was accidents every couple of miles. think it would be like riding a bike, and come right back to you, I guess not.

It really is amaizing how so many ppl forget to drive in first snow.

I had my truck durring this last storm and had fun fishtailing every corner in Manchester. It was pretty slick but I did not put it into 4wd except once when starting on a steep hil than the clutch went in and the 4wd out so I could go around the corner. It's like I'm 16 again when I drive in the snow.

Everyone remember to be safe this winter...

As for washing in the winter. I find the DIY car wash with hot water and I go late at night to I can hand wash & dry it before leaving.

well, any advise on how to get better traction in the snow????
i took my truck out after finishing my re-build, and its got so much power its hard to drive in the snow, i cant belive what a re-build will do for a motor, its got enough, sac, to keep the tires ( all four) spinning for a good distance, this will be good when i decide to hit an open parking lot in the snow, for a good time.

But for now, i think ill go trow some sand in the back and call it good.

If its got "that much" sac I'd say sand is good but better will be good snow tires and feather the gas peddle.. My motor(351w) is rebuilt to stock specs but .030 over and I got plenty of torque..

this is just a 351w, .040 over, nothing much done to it other than that, open element k&n, flowmaster muffler, no cats, although im putting a cat back on it soon, but the snow was that really packed stuff and was pretty slick. for everything, i guess ill have to wait till it drys out to see the real power diffrence.
