V6 for my Ranger

I have a 97 with a 4-banger in it and I have contemplated having a 6 put in. Anyone have any experience doing this? Whether you dod it yourself, or had it done? I have had very little luck in getting any information (so much for the information hi-way).

Appreciate any info....

Howard - Why a v6, if you're going to stuff a bigger engine in, why not a v8? If you search the pages of this forum, you'll find numerous references to the v8 swap. Good luck.

For now I just need a little extra and I will be turning this over to my kid in a few years.... He doesn't need to get into trouble too fast....

Adding a V6 just sounded like a happy medium....
