Thanks John,
I greatly appreciate it!!!.
I'm kind of going to do what you did, but swap in a camaro clip instead of an MII. I currently have, and driven for the past 2 years on the Volare font end, and am satisfied, but I have had that itch for airbags ever since they came out, but was wanting to get the truck roadworthy and the Volare was cheap and available.
When I first saw your article on swapping the volare for an MII, I was "why?", my truck with the Volare was running great and had no problems,,,but now I know "why".
Thanks
Rey

Well don't just leave us hangin' here like this Rey. Why does one remove a perfectly good, smooth riding, easily adjustable and affordable front suspension?
You're just like Niolon, you like the smell of welding fumes and grinder sparks bouncing off your chest. Don't ya?

John comes through again.
I remember about 3 years ago, when I was a naive "go getter" asking this guy on the net how he welded a "valare" clip on a 53 ford. He took the time to explain how he did it in several Q&A email sessions, and after I messed it up but trying to do it next to a tree, on soft dirt, he took the time to explain again what the problem was. I need a level surface, I had tacked the clip and it was completely off, but couldn’t figure out why.
Anyhow fast forward 3 years and I seem to be almost in the same situation, but now I am looking to install a GM clip and what happens, John Niolon come through again!!!!
Thanks for the articles John, oh and the frame dimensions.
Oh and "Why?" sometimes we have a vision of wanting to do something a certain way and end up going the other direction for whatever reason, time, money, space. So when the opportunity comes around to redo what you originally planned, then take it, you'll kick yourself in the but later if you don't.
