I am installing 2000 Explorer rear axle in my 1950 F47 1/2 ton. Problems that arise using Explorer springs are the mounts interfere with the rear running board hangers. I am thinking of using Nissan 2 WD springs as they are the same length eye to eye as the 50 stock springs.
Does anyone have pictures of side mounted spring mounts they have used. I will fab mounts using existing rivet holes for backplate, but would appreciate pics of other designs.
