Talking 44s on a 2000 Ranger

This guy is a moron. Make sure you maximize all of the pictures and read the captions. (hint, 2wd)

I bet the suspension gurus here really love those huge lift blocks.

Here is the rest. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/713224/2

Lift

At least he's got the axles tied to the frame with some trailing arms. I would have compensated by using some longer shackles and higher arch springs along with blocks. Looks pretty crazy though!!!

It took him 5 years to put 12" lift blocks on grossly undersized axles? What an idiot. I'll have to link this in the offroad forum . . . they'll love it.

Somehow I don't think it matters much when he doesn't have a t-case. It doesn't look like he ever bothered converting it to 4wd. Notice he talks about his rear end gears but never mentions anything about the front? He spent $20K on what??? Really cracks me up because he brags about how it's never been "jobbed out". No kidding?

Either its from a chevit, or he intalled the front axle upside down which is entirely possible from this guy.

I suppose you wouldn't need to worry about oiling issues with that diff. "You mean there's a right way to install it? I didn't see any up arrows . . . "

Thats the difference in the low pinion and high pinion axles. Haven't you heard of axle "flip" kits?

That guy needs to push that fecal abortion off a cliff into a deep lake and then chew his own head off. It would be a favor to the gene pool.

Score points for you, Hox. That's something else I hate...a truck is NOT a block of wood, it has 4 wheels and either 2 of them drive it, or 4 do...

I gave him a piece of my mind as did ivan, i aimed at using poser as much as possible. All his talks of "custom" stuff was agravating. And after all of that he still compliemented me on my truck.

Ya'll are being too forward on your attack, i'm posting a "i dig your truck" post, see if he obliges my request for pictures. I wanna see the front axle. If it was done right and if he does go coiled out back in teh near future and the blocks are bolted to the springs (what a list), then i have no gripe about the truck (except that it still doesn't have a transfercase).

We've all half done something from time to time, like in the back of my truck i'm using a 2.5" wide AAL for 3" wide springs which ain't the best of ideas when the leaf tries to walk, but it'll work until i flip the shackles and "adjust" the wheelbase.

It's bad enough he's using the stock rear axle but it REALLY kills me that he swapped in a D44 in the front to run 44's on. Maybe he thought the "44" model number meant they were built to be used with 44" tires. Then on top of that he has a passenger's side pumpkin.

Yall are haters!
