Question FX4 Exhaust Question.

I have a 04 f150 supercab FX4 with the 6'.5'' Bed. anyone put a exhaust on a truck like mine. If so let me know what kind and if there any problems installing it. I bought a Gibson extreme dual outlet behind each rear wheel and it would not fit. When I called Gibson they said FX4 was Different and would not fit. I called Borla and thay said if I cut my center pipe it should fit. Any feed back would be great. I would like Dual outlet and stainless.

I have the same truck and had the Borla put on and love it. Looks and sounds great. The only cutting that was done was the guy that did the install cut the stock muffler off that was it. The Borla is a direct bolt on. Buy it you'll love it. I have some pics in my gallery.

Did they not elaborate on why it will not fit onto an FX4? I was actually thinking about putting that Gibson system on mine when money allowed.

JS66,
Look at the Banks Power Monster Exhaust system. If fits well, looks good and sounds even better. I sent you a private message with more info. JP

Go with the 3" Magnaflow SS catback. You'll love it.

I installed the 3" Magnaflow SS catback super easy with a great fit. What I don't like is now I have lots of cabin drone at part throttle cruise in town, but you can't really tell its there at highway speeds.

Depends on how much noise you want to hear.

How long have you had it installed? I had the same problem at the beginning but now it has virtually gone away.

It's got over 7000 miles on the exhaust so far.
