04 Supercrew 4x4 5.4 With 3.55 Gears. At 3600 Miles With No Mods I Was Getting 14.08 Mpg And That Is All City Driving. I Installed A Leveling Kit And 33x12.50 And My Last Mileage Check Was 13.58 Mpg. I Buy The Cheapest Gas I Can Find. In Any Vehicle I Have Ever Owned I Have Never Seen Any Difference In Cheap Gas Or Higher Octane.
Sure I Wish It Was Better But I Don't Have To Drive It For Commuting Just For Fun, So You Know What They Say,"wanna Play Ya Gotta Pay". I Just Wish I Didn't Have To Pay So Much.

Raven,
Something seems a-miss with your mileage figures but recently I read a Click and Clack article on how the EPA arrives at the MPG figures that go on the sticker.
The highway mileage is arrived at by driving a pre-production model for a total of 10 miles (I presume a measured flat track). At no time can the truck go over 60 miles per hour and the average speed is 48 miles per hour.
Is that how you or anyone else drives? If not, like the sticker say you may get less or more MPG than the sticker. The sticker is only meant as a means to compare different models since they all do the same 10 miles at an average speed of 48 MPH.
Good luck on getting to the bottom of your awful MPG.
