brickie the reason this link didn't automatically become and active URL is because it is not preceded by "http or www"

You can force this to become an active URL by clicking on the "Insert Hyperlink" (picture of World & Chain) or including "http or www" when creating your post.

Also at the Top of the FTE forum are tabs, click on the one marked "Recalls/TSBs" to see all the TSB's

Hope this helps

I thought that if you had a truck with the 6.0L built before 9/29/03 that there was a recall released in Feb 2006 that would do away with the information put out by the exaust back pressure sensor. the recall is 06E17. I thought that there was such a big problem with this sensor that even though they leave the sensor in place with the recall the information from it is ignored and inferred by the other sensors instead.

I thought that this is what the issue was on mine but the turbo caused the same issues. Also there has been an update on the sensor going into the valve cover so change it if you have not.

Is this sensor located under the coolant resavor, attached to a tubeinto the exhast manifold? If it is you should also clean out the tube, because it will get plugged off.

Engine Over Heat

05 F 350 6.0 D DRW Supercab, South AL,GA & FL
Three time last year I when towing up a grade I got a beep, engine over heat read out, before I could get stopped the Temp guage returned to normal, blew three qts of anti-freeze. Was in OEM Tow Mode, boast under 20, tow weight less than 8K.
Dealer of course cannot duplicate problem and could not find cause.
I do not remember hearing the Electric fan as I had in the past towing up much larger hills.
In the wiring diagrams up date I see there is an Elec Fan Control, engine mounted.
Is there a way to test the operation of the fan and control which I assume is
temperture activated ? with like a multimeter.
I did not get a DTC failure code.
