Exclamation Convert manual to power steering

Hi, I have a 69 F250 with manual steering, I visited the local wrecking yar, found a 70 F250 with power steering. I want to use the power steering pump, & steering box from the 70 truck in my 69 truck. Do I need to change the steering column too. thanks,

You would probably get better responses if you posted this in the appropriate truck forum instead of the engine forum, but no, I don't think there is a difference in the column.

On some trucks, the ppwer steering column is shorter than the manual. If you use the same column that's on your truck now, the steering wheel may be about 3 inches closer to your chest. You'll get alot more responses if you post in the "73-79 ford trucks" forum.
