When you say *cleaner*, are you referring to car wash? What brand name products are you using?

Meguier's makes a good cleaner wax...been using it for years.

If you want to REALLY make it shine - ask your local parts store if they carry auto-magic products - my father-in-law used one of their products on his 36 Ford p/u (new black paint) and the finish looks like a mirror!

Here's another site to check out -

http://www.waxshop.com/safecut.asp

From a post in the Appearance forum, this stuff (waxshop products) is highly recommended.

Meguires NXT is about as good a cleaner/wax as you can get. The reason you are getting a haze after waxing is that either the paint is not cool enough when waxing, you are applying too much wax or you are not letting the wax set before removal. The NXT is great with a black vehicle. I used it on my 350z which was black and you could see no swirl marks whatsoever.

good luck and let me know how it works out!

Meguirers all the way. 100% Black 4 X 4 SCREW here and she shines. I use the wet shine stuff too when I wash and dry her. Use Meguirers on the leather seats too.

One poster mentioned not washing or waxing your truck in the sun. I 2nd that. It makes ahuge difference when you wash\dry and\or was in the shade, on cool paint.

Really I think you could go /w a good polish cleaner first /w a pc. Every year you could clay & polish a car's finish even if your cars is brand new. If you have no experience on doing this I would recommend that you find a good auto Detailer.

Polaris: Go to Meguiars.com and order a Rx (prescription) for restoring the finish on your vehicle with their products. I have used Meguiars products for so long I can not remember not using them. They are really interested in having your truck look its best. They have help line forums etc.

Hope this helps.
