Were there any five hole 15x8" steel Ford-issued rims (1970-1996)?
The reason I asked is because I bought some Ford-issued 15x7" (5x5.5" pattern)white wagon steel wheels at the junkyard ($4.00 each), the kind that use the 3-screw factory chromed or black center caps (earlier models with red centers and later models with black centers) that are also common to all of their aluminum rims. While searching for some beauty rings for these rims (similar to those seen in XLT's and Lariats), I found one of these same rims in 15x8" (has the 3-screw holes for the center caps) but I could not find the Ford marking in it.
I am curious as to whether Ford ever offered these factoy rims (15x8) in full sized Broncos? Anyways, I would love to know if they were available to start looking for them at other junkyards. While I know that I can get them aftermarket, I would prefer the factory ones to use the factory-issued center caps and beauty rings.
Thanks.

Lemme tell ya something. In a previous post i was asking about something similar. I found 2 sets of 15x10! factory ford steel wheels. One white/rust, other rust/chrome. I was in shock, i had no idea ford did such a thing. But sure as hell, ford stamp right on the center by the lug holes. Im going to pick up one of the sets as long as they have a descent offset to them, to put my 38's on next spring. They should be tough, and ill add the centers your talking about to make em a bit more purty. So i guess i didnt answer your question, but just letting you know there is some odd stuff out there!

I was always told there where two widths in the 80s. The factory wagon style steel wheels with chrome rings and center caps had a red stripe around the chrome trim ring - the set with single red stripe is 7" wide and the set with two red stripes is 8" wide. The owner of a salvage yard told me that years ago and I've never checked to see if he was correct.
The back of friend's '76 F150 had a couple 15x10 white steel rims that were stamped with the ford oval - never did find out what vehicle came with those...
