PCV valves for E/F-series?

Are PCV valves used on late model trucks with the 5.4L SOHC V8?

I popped the doghouse for my 2003 E-250 w/ the gas 5.4L SOHC V8 and could not locate a PCV valve.

Ford's computer lists EV-238 as the Motorcraft replacement valve, but the usual spots on the cam covers didn't show signs of a grommet for the PCV.

Did Ford switch to a fixed orifice instead of a PCV?

It is in the passenger side valve cover about 1/2 way back. The hose is probably covered with a foam type insulation. The tubing goes from the valvecover to the elbow on the intake that the throttlebody is bolted to in the rear.
