1999 Ford F150 4X4 with 5.4 Liter. Vehicle started and was running fine. Went to restart would not crank, click only. Cleaned terminals, tried jump start, wouldn't work, continued to try and finally started. Replaced battery (was told old one was fine). Same problem occurs. Replaced entire battery cable system (positive and negative harness) from Ford dealership. Problem gone for one day, then same problem re-occurs. Any ideas?

 

Did you check the starter relay and have the starter tested?
