Hello I found a f350 ex US army in italy, it's a 1983 model year and use 5.8 v8 petrol with automatic gear (3 gear instead of 4 because us army). Please can you help me to cahtch some info, due to the fact, in italy is not possible.
Do you think is a problem only 3 gear? Which size is? And how many miles for gallon? thankyou in advance Stefano

 

With a truck that big, don't expect great fuel mileage. I'd wager a guess at around 10-15 mpg at best, if everything is running properly. The 3 speed auto is a tough, reliable transmission, and providing you maintain it with regular fluid and filter changes, should live for a long time.
