I have rusty cab supports or floor supports what ever they are called they need replaced. where can you buy these and what is the best way. Other then the floor and cab corners, rockers the cab is in good shape. Should I make this a parts truck or fix the problems. Also where is the best place in Ohio to find a cab. It is a 78 extended cab F250 Help.
Hi and welcome to the Ohio chapter..it would help if you could tell us what part of the state you live and how far you would travel ...i know of a few salvage yards where i live that might have some parts.....
Figures its an extended cab, I have a standard cab thats in perfect shape I could sell ya. I would need pics before I would be able to give you an honest answer about your cab. But what I can tell you is that extended cabs are extremely, and let me emphasize, EXTREMELY, rare, so if you have one, you might want to look into fixing it up. Check our sponsers here or LMC Truck, and other places are pretty good.
I live in the great City of Blanchester. (Cincinnati area). I got this thing for free and it isn't in bad shape (except the normal rust spots). The engine runs great. It is a 78 F250 Ranger Explorer (X25HKCC8784) is the serial number what ever that means. I am very new to fixing working on cars. I had a 49 F1 street rod that just need the final touches and I currenly own a 2004 F250 Power stroke.
what is that part called floor supports? the cab mounts attach to these rails and the rails to the frame. Also do 78's have square or round head lights?
