Can anybody reccomend a competent fe engine rebuilder in nj?Where does everybody get there machine work donehere in nj?I have a 390 out of a 62 tbird thats going in my 66 f100 if i ever get it rebuilt. thanks maddy
I took mine to P&W Automotive machining in Whippany, NJ. I don't have the number handy but you can call 411 for that. They redid my 360. They'll do anything, but they specialize in older motors.

recently, there was an article about the Power Tour in one of the Hot Rod magazines. There was a quick blurb about these guys in NJ who built a 'Cuda with a twin turbo Viper motor. I can't find where they're from, or what they specialize in, but an obvious amount of intense work was required, and this is one of the cleanest things I saw. I'm sure they can either help you, or help you find someone competent. I'll keep looking, but I'm getting tired of hearing about all of these builder in CA, about time someone from NJ got some recognition.

Where are you located? There is a guy down here in SJ that builds FE's. He just finished my 410. If you are local, he may be interested in doing it for you.

Maddy,
Email me off list for his contact info. I do not want to post his name and phone number in a public forum. He has done FE work for me for years, and he currently owns 6 FE powered cars. He is in the process of setting up his new shop over in Mount Holly. He hopes to have it up and running by the first of theyear.
