Flathead specification questions.

Question Flathead specification questions.

I was reading up a little on flatheads, and found a site that manufactures custom Flathead heads(sharp heads) with your choice of Chamber Volume anywhere from 53cc to 80cc. This got me thinking....What were the stock CR and Head Chamber volume of a 239 flathead? What kind of pistons(ie dome, flat) were used from the factory. Lastly, what kind of CR can a Flathead block SAFELY take?

I had a 51 Ford Victoria with V8 flathead. The stock pistons were flat tops. Stock compression on the 49-53s was 6.8 to 7.2. Check out this site:
