93 Ranger - Where is the turn signal flasher?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 02-Oct-02 AT 09:01 AM (EST)]I'm almost postive the turn signal flasher is faulty but I can't find any documentation that says where it is. When I try to use my turn signal, either one, they either flash irraticly or not at all. All the manuals I've found so far only show the location of the hazard flasher but they mention that there is a turn signal flasher. Can anyone help? I have a 1993 Ranger 4X4 STX Supercab.

I looked for around the fuse panel but wasn't able to find anything that was similar in appearance to the hazard flasher that is in the fuse box. There is an item the appears to be attached to the back side of the fuse box that is cylindrical in shape but I'm not able to see it. I can't believe that Ford doesn't have the location of it published.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 02-Oct-02 AT 09:54 PM (EST)]The turn signal flasher in a 93 ranger is in the fuse panel located under the dash(left side). There is a fuse panel cover that you need to remove to get to the fuses and turn signal flasher. If it is working intermittantly when you add a trailer to your truck then buy a heavy duty flasher for the extra light load.

93 Ranger - Where is the turn signal flasher?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-Oct-02 AT 12:06 PM (EST)]In reference to the "redline1" reply, I had the exact same problem. Mine is an 85. Below & to the left of the steering column is a panel that must be removed to access fuses & turn signal flasher. Sounds the same as what "redline1" described. Take a looksee. By the way, I installed one of those heavy load electronic flashers (as opposed to the standard thermal jobbies). It is expensive (2 to 4 times the cost of a thermal), but it WORKS GREAT!
