Where is a good ground inside the S-Crew?

I Guess,
Up in the northeast we still seem to used them.
I have had one in every car i have had, for 20 years.
And I usually hardware it in as well. I have not done this yet on the SCREW just becuase it is not my daily drive yet. Will be in next week, and the BEL Radar/Laser detector i have will go move over.

blkFRD, RIGHT THERE WITH YOU! NOT THAT THEY ARE OLD SCHOOL BUT WHAT'S THE USE. GO THE SPEED LIMIT AND SAVE MONEY ON THE DETECTER, TICKETS, AND GAS.
NEVER REALLY UNDERSTOOD WHY SOME STATES MADE THEM LEGAL ANYHOW, AS IF COPS DON'T HAVE A HARD ENOUGH TIME DOING THERE JOB.
DON'T GET ME WRONG FELLAS, I AM NOY AGAINST THEM I JUST NEVER SAW THE NEED FOR ONE.

This post is kinda funny. In regards to, I had a customer come in today from Texas and wanted his radar detector hard wired in on his new '04 Supercrew Lariat......lol. So I did it. Tapped into a wire on one of the connectors coming out of the fuse box, it was a red /yellow wire. And for the ground, up under the dash on the drivers side close to the center there is a ground on the dash frame, I used that ground. I ran all the wires up the drivers side A-pillar cause he wanted his detector on the dash right by the VIN plate.

Are you guys using one of those spades that go in under the fuse blade? If so, I do not recommend using those. On the older trucks those were ok, but on these new ones I've seen way too many fuse panels needing replaced due to those. It spreads out the terminals in the box and then the fuses lose contacts and it starts to make stuff do weird stuff. I've seen it way too many times.

I just folded the wire over one of the fuse prongs and plugged the fuse back in.
That SMALL fuses are a little more challenging than the older large ones.
I used a really good ground this time around, so I don't think that is the issue with the power always on.
But any tips with a fuse would be great, other wise I'll continue to hunt and peck.
thanks guys!
