302 in a ranger 4x4???
Any trany that was in a ranger (with the exception of the ones with the integral bellhousing) will bolt to a 302 with an adaptor (http://www.advancedadaptors.com or http://www.jamesduff.com ) Most people will tell you its not a good idea to do it though. Ranger transmissions are weak. If you are going to spend the money doing the conversion invest in a decent transmission. T-5 (from a 5.0 mustang not the 4 cyl one) is your best bet for a manual and i think most people that do an auto conversion end up using the a40d for overdrive or c-4.
