Beautiful part of the country...

Hi All, I just wanted to the folks in Maine know how much us Texan's enjoy visiting your beautiful state. The company I work for has a Timber division located in Old Town, and I had the opportunity to travel up there a couple of weeks ago. I stayed in Bangor, but travelled to Old Town everyday. This was the perfect time of year. The colors of the leaves was truly breathetaking. My wife was able to come up a few days later, and we spent last weekend at Bar Harbor. We toured Acadia NP and spent one day going to Nova Scotia on the ferry "the CAT". By the way, the ferry was awesome, but this was not the right time of year to be on it if you even remotely get seasick. Had to tend to my wife on the way over, and used dramamine to knock her out on the way back. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and I ate plenty of lobster. The pictures we took have turned out awesome. The hardest part of being there was being surrounded by a bunch of democrats!!! Anyways, just wanted to say hi...

Glad to hear you had a great time in Maine. My girlfrind is from Portland and we go up there often. It really is a nice place but for me its just typical New England...
