If I decide to buy a new 2005 F350 6.0 Supercab, shortbox, 4x4 with a 6 speed automatic tranny and use it initally for towing a 6000lb trailer and potentially a 10,000 to 12,000lb fifth wheel, then what MUST HAVE options would you consider essential to order to have the truck perform properly?
Presume options like upgraded tires, tow package, skid plates, etc. may be necessary? What else? Appreciate your thoughts.

Pick up the latest issue of Trailer Life magazine. They have a feature on the new 2005 with the tow package, with the built in trailer brake and all the bells and whistles
Thanks guys, read the thread on driving with a big load, don't think I will go that heavy, however some good advice. And my subscription to Trailerlife will really payoff when the next issue arrives; glad to hear the new 2005 F350 made it inside. Look forward to it. Take care out there.
