Tim, isn't ford working on a new engine. Something like a 6.1 to replace the lightning....forgot the name though? It would be cool if they brought back the Cleavland engine with pushrods.
Don't you guys remember the picture of a Lightning that had the 04 body syle? I remember reading that they were working on making it lighter etc. Ford wouldn't stop making the L!!!
They will answer all your questions. The L is on hold or cancelled as of right now. If they develop one it will be after 08. And even then they might let Ford sell the L and SVT will develop a faster version and rename it. Who know's untill it finally show's up a the dealers...
Thats too bad-- the Lightning is the best racetruck on the market as far as I'm concerned. Of course you could throw in the ever popular faster=better argument and in that case the Ram SRT-10 is the best.
I think the price of oil kills a lot of the perfomance market, and as a direct result, we lose the Lightning. I know it's not the only reason, but I'm sure it was a factor, anyway.
