help for a chrome grill

hey folks,I have an 04 with the painted xlt grill(dark shadow grey). I hate these painted grills. From looking at it I think you can swap the outer trim and keep the honeycomb center. Would anyone be interested in swaping me? I want the chrome outer edge, I think it looks sooooooo much better than paint. The dealer wants approx $350 for a new one. Can someone help me?

Funny Whats important to us! One of the determining factors on the XLT that I Bought was that it did NOT have the Chrome Trim around the Grill.

If the 350 is for part only, they are way overcharging you. You should be able to buy an XLT grille for under 175 and a Lariat grille for around 200. As far as installation, it takes under 15 mins. Just 10 bolts, 2 on each L bracket ans 6 along the hood edge. Very easy.

Do NOT give the dealership your business if that's what they want to charge you! Instead, shoot an email to Torrie AT FordPartsNetwork.com and let him know you're looking for an XL grille.
