There is seldom "minimal fab" involved when frame swapping. What do you hope to accomplish and how talented are you for starters?

What is the purpose of using a newer frame instead of upgrading the current frame ?

well one reason is avaliablity of parts and after market. i would think that lets say if it could go on a newer F 150 or a F 100 frame id have more options on what i wanted to do . and im mroe talented in some things than others like i can put things on and weld and motor work and my dad whos a body man can help me with what i cant do

The 50 F-3 is a pretty long truck with a wheelbase of 122 inches. Even if you find a modern frame that it will fit, chances are you may have to lengthen the donor frame some or shorten the F-3. I have a friend who has a 48 F-1 mounted on a 72 F-250 frame with the 360 engine and C6. He bought it that so way, so I have no details. It's is a daily driver and he even pulls a travel trailer with it, so it can be done.
