Transfer case

Any information on a 1994 transfer case? Pushbutton, auto hub. Periodically while driving on dry pavement I get a massive clunk under the seats. It sounds like something is coming apart. After the clunk everything seems fine. Any ideas? Keep in mind I am in 2wd when this happens. It has happened twice lately, but I only get to drive it on the weekend.

Check U-joints, tranny mount, and the slipjoint in the rear driveshaft. Greasing the slipjoint may take care of that if the other parts are in good shape.
