Fill up at the Union 76 at the corner of PCH & Del Obispo. If you don't know were its at take the PCH Dana Point, Ocean exit n. 5 and its the first major intersection. Can't miss it. Price of diesal is always the lowest around, because they have to cater to all the boat traffic. Last time I filled up there it was $2.15. That was two weeks ago, however. All bet there around 2.25-2.30 now. I got hosed Sunday at 2.49 in Orange. (No choice had to fill it up for my mountain run)

I'll make sure to stop there if I'm up that way. Thanks for the tip. The cheapest I found on friday was $2.40. That's at Tamarack in Carlsbad

I saw it at 2.17 on Escondido ave a week ago. Did a quick Turn into that station and filled up, 2.15 this morning. Could this be a trend? I'd love to see under 2 bucks a gallon

I just saw 1.899 at the south end of the Long Beach Freeway, Anaheim Street offramp. This is not exactly the best part of town.

Sounds like a risk worth taking;-)
btw I read recently that refiners usually dump fuel on the market in december so they don't have to pay taxes on their excess inventory at year end. This is partly why there are shortages of fuel in the spring and price hikes. It seems to me that if enough people got together and didn't buy fuel say the last week of the year they'd be stuck and have to pay. boo hoo
