Been thinking about my '04 F150

Got my 2004 F150 XLT supercab 4.6L a couple months ago ; it now has 1200 miles on it. I love the look both on the exterior and the interior. But I too have the vibration problem . After reading many of the vibration posts where owners have taken in many different time with the problem still not fixed, I am not sure if I have the time or patience to go through a similar process, especially not even knowing if it will be fixed in the end after the whole process. Other than the vibration problem, I am a little dissappointed in the very loud compressor and the somewhat slow acceleration (which I know can be addressed with a 1714 microtuner).

The whole vibration thing is bothering me enough that I am thinking about trading it in for a '04 Titan . I know this being a Ford forum I am liable to get scourged for such a comment.....but I don't see how I can enjoy the F150 for the next several years with the vibe problem. Anyway, I just wanted to get feedback from others on whether they think this would be a good move or a bad move based on what they know about the Titan.

Love Ford and love my truck, except the vibration is bothering me enough to possibly go do the trade in....

I plan on ordering an 05 F150, but I test drove the 04 Titan and I must admit it is one heck of a nice truck. I loved it. It accelerated better and road smoother than the F150. The only reason I am not getting it and getting the F150 instead is because I get A plan pricing on the F150 and Nissan could not offer me a good enough deal considering the A plan plus all the rebates that come out at the end of the year. If I were getting them for the same low price, I would get the Titan. It has so many more features included in their packages that I absolutely loved!

The Titan uses a lot of gas-stop and think about that and the price of fuel.

After test driving the Titan again today, I think I am going to stick with my Ford. Good truck with great engine, but after reading up more on the Superchip, I think I can much improve the throttle performance of my F150.

I am stuck on the Ford interior. Much better than the Titan. And the F150 exterior is beautiful too with the pin stripe and Torredor Red with alum wheels and raised letter Michelin tires. Getting ready to take the truck for an 800 mile trip for Thanksgiving, and the front seats seem like they would be much more comfortable on a long trip. Plus the interior just seems much bigger than the Titan....it may not be that much different, but it sure feels like it. Despite the vibration from time to time, I am coming to really appreciate the otherwise smooth drive in the '04 F150.

Now I'm still trying to decide on what type of liner (Linex or Rhino) and bed cover. Sort of leaning toward and Access roll up cover.

You have a good point. I am thinking about going back to the dealership to see if they will work with me to trade this one in for another one that doesn't have the vibration, while keeping my payment the same. I got this truck (sticker = $29,100) for $19,600 plus tax.

The question is whether they will take this one back with 1200 miles and letting me do an almost direct swap on a similar brand new one on the lot. Any ideas if a dealer would be willing to do this, in order to help satisfy a customer?
