Deer season

Hi guys,

Thought it was time for a new topic.

Since deer season opened today where I live AND since this isn't a wussy little car forum, what are you plans (if any) for deer hunting?

Great misadventures? Favorite guns? Tall tales?

i hope to get in a couple hunts this year..i use my 30.06 for deer hunting.

I like to take the pop-up and camp on wma's while hunting, no power, phone, tv or running water so it's kinda fun

Got a doe yesterday. Unfortunately it was with a vehicle glad it wasn't my car....haha. People here in the Low Country have started off with a good season though. I work in the firearms business and people are looking pretty hard.

Jacob, welcome!

Ouch on the deer vs. vehicle.

A friend took a week off work to go hunting, froze hi a** off for a few days, didn't shoot anything. He hit one on the way home.

Firearms biz, eh? Gunsmith?

I end up feeding the deer in my backyard and someone else reaps the reward of my cracked corn treats.
This last monday I watched a beautiful doe work my back 40 and Clyde the goat went stellar thinking she was a goat on steroids or something.
He did everything but actually climb the hogwire that day.
I read tonight that Georgia produced more deer than all neighboring states combined..
