Question Truck died at stop sign.

Water in fuel light, theft light and wait to start light are blinking. After 15 to 20 minutes truck restarted but theft light still blinking.
Also if I hit a big bump in the road the truck dies sometimes.
Any ideas?
2000 Excursion
Thanks

This could be a challenge. There is a loose connection somewhere in the vehicle. Whether it be loose battery cables, wiring harness, connection inside fuse panel, plug on back of fuse panel, on and on and on.

Not sure how the theft light blinking plays into it, but other than that it sounds like one of the several classic CPS-death-throes scenarios.

That's why I think there is a loose connection somewhere. There is a power loss to vital circuits and it's acting like the key is being cycled on and off. I don't think the cps is bad on this one.

Do you have a chip? My chip was loose and if I hit a bump it would reset the computer. Taped it in and no problems since.

You could start by checking the main engine wiring harness plug located over the drivers side valve cover. Mine had similar symptoms and cleaning that fixed it. The plug is huge and has a small bolt holding it together. A dab of dielectric grease helps too.
