As far as installing a backup alarm, just do what we do at work...beep your horn twice before backing up (making sure you check your mirrors and look out the back)!! It might be low-tech, but it's effective; everybody looks!

Thanks for the info on getting to tailights. Hey, I checked out your truck, nice truck BTW. I noticed your Line X appears to look different than the few I have seen, not sure if it is just the lighting or whether they added something, or color change or something like that. Did they? Did you get the UV Add on and Lifetime warranty? Anything you dont like about it and about what did you pay? Wonder how much weight/Mileage it adds/takes away from the truck.
I couldnt tell for sure, but it looks like you have custom bed rails. What are they?
Thanks,
Dave

Hey ITDave...thanks for the good comments. The Line-X pix were taken right as soon as I got home from the application, and the sunlight is sort of filtered through some trees, so maybe that's why it looks the way it does. I didn't get any UV or other treatment, since I knew I was going to throw a roll-up cover on it later on (gotta ration those $$!!). The lifetime warranty is part of the deal, and is good at any Line-X dealer nationwide. W/ the $20 online coupon, I think it cost about $369 total. There are no negatives to Line-X IMO, and total weight added (and I'm only guessing) might be 10 pounds or so (2 gallons of material??). But it does help dampen noise emanating from the bed.
The caps on the bed rails are the standard caps for the flareside.
Good luck with your ride!! -Don
