Warford Corporation axles

My Ford chassis has a tandem rear axle with a splitter box for high and low range by the Warford company. The splitter box has to large straight cut teeth in it with a prop shaft to drive the rear axle as well. I bet this baby will really sing !!! Does anyone know of the Warford company and when they produced these axles

See my gallery for pics. Hope someone can help. Thanks. Richard from South Africa

Richard, did this truck from Canada or the US before being brought to South Africa? i ask because there was a Warford Corporation in Canada that made shcool buses and specialty vehicles, bus manufacture bagan in'48. In '85 I guess they were bought up by Richmond Transportation in Virgina, U.S.

Dick Cutting has a tandem rear axle setup on his site, he's a nice guy, and you can email him.

But these axles are called Baumis-Warford, perhaps the same company.

Thanks for the reply '46. I pressume that it woulod have come from Canada. All right hand drive Ford's that I know of came from Canada to South Africa. The chassis also has a "C" in the number which I pressume denotes Canada. It's quite an interesting setup though. I will send a mail to Dick and see what he comes up with. Thanks
