Engine modification..do they void the warranty?

I am considering a Cold Air Intake. Why, just sounds cool as I really do not know much about them and it seems 50% or more of you folks have one.

1) What's a cold air intake going to do for me?
2) Will adding this void anything about my warranty?

Great sound, small increase in power and mileage.

As with any aftermarket part, the part must be the direct cause of the failure for Ford not to cover. So put a cheap oil filter on the truck, oil filter fails, engine fails, Ford may not cover the repair under warranty.
