Need Advice

Hey guys and gals i just bought my dad a 54 f100
so we would both have the same truck, and i was wondering if anyone out there has ever seen or heard of using the ifs out of a late model Tbird (89,90.)
my dad has a donor car and ths measurements seem to be the same but i dont want him to ruin his truck and he is on a budget so a heidts or tci is not an option any help would be great

p.s. i read the sticky on ifs options but this one didnt seem to be covered
thanks aagain
