66 Econoline VIN Loation?

Hello everybody,
I am Erik from the Netherlands, I'm a new member.
I bought a 66 econoline supervan last month, they are very rare in
the Netherlands. (only 3 early econolines known)
In order to get it registered I need to know where the VIN is stamped.
I found the dataplate on the door face, but I have not been able
to find the stamped VIN.
Can anybody tell me the axact location?
Maybe even a picture?
Thanks!

erik, it is on the brace at the rear of the van behind the spare tire. there are also several stamped around the lip the dog house sits on and along the frame rails.
you may have to rub a little paint off to get it where you can see any of them.

if you will post all three lines off the data plate i will decode it for you.

Thank you for the information Jim!

I found the stamped VIN today, it is behind the "dog house" on the floor.
It was covered by paint and dirt so pretty hard to find.

The Van was shipped to the Netherlands in 1998, was stored until last august when I bought it.
It is in an original condition, engine, drivetrain, interior all original.
I'm in the process of replacing all brake parts, suspension rubber parts.
Engine runs smooth but has some smoke.

On the side of the Van we found a former owners adress

Electrical Construction
853 Manor Street
phone 393 725
Lancaster PA

I have looked it up on the internet, There is a pizzaria on that adress now.
The phone number is now used by the American Heart Association in Lancaster.

Erik.
