any body know what auto trans will bolt right up to my truck it has a stock 170 in it i think. not realy sure yet what is going on with it yet too new to me. but i would like to make it a automatic.

 

there are 2 ways to go, the easiest is an automatic tranny out of a 65/67 econoline with the small six engine. there is quite a bit of changeing, but it is not that bad. the other requires some fabrication, and a little engineering.

I have found that I have a cracked exhaust manafold. any one know if they can be welded? and can you tell me for sure if I have a 170 the vin is E10AHA20388. any info would be helpfull. and please bare with me i'm still trying to figure all this out

 

about any 144/250 manifold will fit, pipe flange may be differant but no big deal.
