Billet Grille Install 1992 F-150
When you replace the factory plastic grille with a billet grille, how do you pop the hood?? The latch is behind the factory plastic grille. The grille bars are to close together to get your hands through to get to the latch to release it... Is there some other way to release the latch from the top???
Thanks,

There is one that comes with the kit, but it isn't hard to make if you don't have one. You'll need to cut a hole in the plastic just behind the grille (can't think of proper name) just to the drivers side of where the stock release would be. Next, drill a 1/4 hole in the stock release. Then, fabricate a new release handle that you can push through that hole. One from the kits is something like this if I remember correctly: ________

not the best drawing, but you get the jist. Then drill a 1/4 hole in the HOROZONTAL part of your fab. release. Now just bolt it to the factory release, and voila, your hood opens again!
