Thumbs up International members

Hi, I`m the Legal Dealer, living in Germany and a new member since 02/17/08.
I`m owning a `91 F 150 XLT Lariat Supercab Styleside 4x4 5 spd with camper shell and a camper setup, bought this combo in Germany in June 2007. The former owner purchased the Truck new in `91 in Omaha/NE and took it home, kept it since last year and then sold it to me. I`ve made roughly 5,000 mls with it since and would not want to miss it. Before this Truck I`ve owned a `99 Suburban which had to go due to the F 150, now I`m planning to buy a second F 150, a `95 model, located in Berlin... hope it works out well... hear from ya`ll, happy trucking!

Hey, got a question! Going to look at a `95 ? F150 this week but I`m not sure whether it is a `95 or maybe older since ads in Germany don`t show the VIN, so I can`t check! Anybody out there that can help me with info which digit ( number or letter ) of the Vin shows the model year? Already ordered a book to verify but it will not be here in time... Thanks!

Hi JoJo

Welcome from Australia.

It might be flat where your from but here in Adelaide South Australia we have just broken all the records with:-
"The city's forecast maximum of 40 degrees celcius (1004F) is the 12th consecutive day of temperatures above 35 degrees - the longest heatwave ever in any Australian capital city."

At night it has been around 30 degrees celcius (86F).

Its that hot we have to put the cold water out of the tap in the freezer for a while just so you can make a cup of coffee you can drink anytime soon and thats no joke especially in the out back areas.

Thankfully it has finally cooled down to a pleasent 30 degrees during the day.

Oh yeah and you dont know wht flat is till you have crossed the Nullarbor Plains (Nullarbor Plain is the section of southern land between Norseman in Western Australia and Ceduna in South Australia.)

Have a great day

Richard

No, I am kiddin`!
We own a 1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat reg.cab./shortbed with a 300 I6 and 4-speed man.gearbox. Colour of our "big iron" is tan with sidepainting in beige, 2-tone. Has 89 Kmiles on the clock. Or 189 kmiles, or 289, who really knows..... Carries an alu-style campertop.

No probs so far, the car was "wax-flooded" in all the body and the underside. Definetely no rust ! Mileage could be better, takes 15-17 liters per 100 Kilometers (price USD 1.40/liter or US quarter)

Good luck to all you F150 drivers around !

JoJo, Billerbeck, Germany
