Transfer case

I have a 1356 borg warner transfer case. Does anyone know what type of fluid it takes and how much.

I use the Ford ATF fluid but don't know much more about it. I topped it off over the weekend but never really pay that much attention. I'll check tonight and reply back later if someone else has not already given you the info. Call your local Ford service department and ask a guy at the parts desk. They will know.

Good luck,

Get a Chilton or Hayne's shop manual for the truck, they have all the info like that in 'em and only $10-$20 for it. Ok my manual says 2.0 US Quarts for electronic/manual shift and 6.1 US Quarts for one W/ the PTO option.
