lowering my 79 f150

does anyone make any lowering kits for my truck. i found stuff for a f100 but not a f150. i want to lower it as far as i can. i heard of people cutting springs and switching the rear axle over the springs. but i dont now if that is the best way to do it.

if anyone nows any kits out there please help. any info is great.

As far as I know, the components for a F100 will work fine on a F150. They are basically the same truck with minor frame differences and stronger rear springs.

Go to WWW.STREETRODENGINEERING.COM
they offer IFS kits all the way to a full front end kit with option for rack & pinion steering and also air bags.
This will give you the most drop but will require some WORK on your part.
The rear flip kits are not bad but will require some cutting on the frame.

Another source for front end kits is fatmans fabrications out of N. Carolina
I think you can still access the web page at
WWW.FATMANFAB.COM
They both offer IFS kits that utilize a mustang 2 front end assembly.
The finished product is AWESOME?
You will also get MANY opinions on "THE BEST WAY TO DO IT" do your own research, good luck!

Lowering..

I went to lmctruck.com and ordered their free printed catalog. They have a few kits available for reasonable prices. How much are you lowering it? Front and back?

There are some sites that, if you don't want to replace all your front suspension, sell the Twin I-Beams with the part that the spindle connects to dropped but they will probably give you a max of a 4" drop in the front
