New truck...
Just picked me up a white 1970 F100 custom 360. No rust, very good condition, about 95% original. One owner, 85k original miles. New transmission, clutch, pressure plate, TOB. Got it for $1,000 at an auction. Replaced the fuel pump and the alternator - she runs like new again! Has a couple minor problems.... Pulls very hard to the left when stopping semi-fast...4" steering play, fuel guage and alternator guage don't work, and tires that might as well be made out of plastic (look like original tires ).
A buddy of mine has a baby blue '74 F100 custom 240lr...we can pimp the old trucks now
I'm probably going to get a nice dual exhaust, some cheapo chrome wheels (my buddy has some off an old Dodge van), and probably drop it a few inches. Later on I want to get it painted either white or the same baby blue as on the '74

I just bought a 67 f-100 with a new 360, 3 on the tree, in good shape. I plan to do the same mods...picked out hawian blue for the exterior, will drop it 4 inches and add 20" $2000 spinning rims.
The pull is most likely the brakes, i don't remember what causes it, but thats the source....the guages-check the fuses, if not a fuse then there is a short from the box to the guage..I have the same prob with the steering, just an adjustment in the steering column....make sure the rims fit from the dodge, if not, chrome modulars are usually 40 bucks each brand new. If you want to swap the tires, keep the old ones if they look like original, you can make a tidy profit on them.
I have much experience customizing ford trucks 67-79, so feel free to ask about wheels, paint, body work, accessories, etc. i'd be glad to help.

My buddy with the '74 said he's going to basically do the same thing...spinners and bags with a crate 514 (possibly supercharged). Original blue/black interior, exterior is going to be the factory baby blue, maybe with ghost flames.
Replaced the battery on my '70...starts up every time! Now I just need a whole lotta degreaser
