Ford comercials

Just wonderin something.
Here in Texas they play a lot of Ford comercials with Texas singers singin songs about Ford (Kelly Willis, Dixie Chicks, Little Texas, ect) along with the ones they play with Toby Kieth. The Texas comercials talk about "such and such is the best selling truck in Texas" bla bla bla. Talk about Texas packages and such.
Do they do that in other states too or is it just a Lone Star thing?

It would be interesting to see truck sales per state...Ford trucks are huge in Maine...but I don't live there so I havn't really seen much for Maine ford commericals...

In MA they don't sell that many trucks so it's not often you find more than a generic truck commercial.

We used to have commercials with Alan Jackson singing "Crazy bout a Ford Truck" (instead of "Crazy bout a Mercury"). Don't know if that was national or just a VA or southern thing.

I think I may have seen/heard a Toby Keith one but never a Dixie Chicks or any of those others you mention.

I remember the crazy about a ford truck commercial. It does make sense that texas sells the most ford trucks. They probably sell the most vehicles overall, especially trucks. It's a huge state with a lot of truck drivers.

Regions that sell alot of trucks have their own commercials. My cousin in Michigan came down here to the Lone Star State and was amazed that ford and dodge had Texas edition trucks, (he hasnt been back to his birthplace for years).

For you non Texans the saying "everything is bigger in Texas" is true. we have Texas size here, not large. We also drive bigger vehicles, have a lot of this countrys farm and ranch land, so we need trucks. I personally own two old ones myself and one bronco 2 and my parents have a new truck too. Our pride is pretty big here too, and i think the companys want to market this.

oh and Alan Jacksons "crazy bout a ford truck" plays here too, must be a southern thing, hes from Tennessee not Texas so thats what id guess, and i figure hes not too big in NY.

I think he meant that more Ford trucks are sold in Texas than any other state, and that is correct. The dealer that sells the most Ford trucks is in the Dallas area.

Alan is REAL popular here in NY, but it got me thinkin': if it's natives they're using in the local commercials, will we see Barbra Streisand endorsing a F-350 anytime soon?
