I can think of a couple: vent windows and rain gutters.

There aren't any more 'cigarette lighters', they're all 'power points' now.
Oh, and real chrome. Except for the bumbers, maybe...

Ashtray, choke ****, crank handle for starting. It depends on how long ago is your baseline.

Vent windows and the rain gutters, I wish we had them back! How about a plethora of engine options in cars, but especially trucks? And actually I think your options for car selection are down compared to what they used to be. What I mean is for example, you used to be able to get a Fairlane in a 2 door post or non-post car, a 2 door convertible, a 4 door, or a station wagon. Now a days you dont have those options. Why did real bumpers have to disappear. Now we have these plastic body colored thingys. A manual transmission in Ford 1/2 tons! Maybe I'm just old fashioned(I'm 21, so I'm starting to feel my age )

Two more reasons to keep my truck. Vent windows, man are those wings cozy.
Rain gutters.......its nice that I can wash my windows with the wipers, and not have washer fluid drain in the side window if its cracked open. Ofcourse, the vent, and gutters stop all that from being a problem.

What really gets my goat.....I caint get no more 8 track players.

The no manual transmission in F-150s is a big gripe for me. I won't buy an automatic.

I musta been under a rock.......a manual transmission is no longer an option?

What kinda messed up marketing, yet normal managment kinda thinking is that?
They think we need one more grocery gettin pick'em up truck?
One more step in my loss of faith in american engineering and production.

Amen, it's not age old, I'm 17 and that makes me mad. The sad fact is that Ford is not alone, Nissan is doing the same thing, but who would want a full size import anyway?

I'll give ya a on the loss of the 3 on the tree. I spent more time realigning the shifter column junk under the hood than shifting gears in the cab.

Three on the tree is one thing I don't miss. They were kind of hard to speed shift.

my 3 on the tree is moved to a floor shift, its a piece of junk. but i can shift my 3 speed like an 18wheeler, clutch only on first gear, all you gotta do is match rpms.

but yeah i dearly miss the wing windows when i drive our super duty, and rain gutters were great, but the reason i believe they got rid of them was because the new oversized doors are supposedly better in wrecks... bs in my opinion.

oh and i miss having metal dashboards, or at least plastic in a non-picasso design... and what happened to the metal roof inside a pickup? i dont want no stinkin carpet on my ceiling! and we dont find any more sealed beam lamps hardly anymore unless you get a work model superduty(didnt see that one coming when they came out)

I really miss rust after 12 months. Burned valves at 41000 miles. 2 speed automatics. 2 speed wipers with no interval settings. One piece steering shafts with sternum-busting spokes on the steering wheel. Gas tanks with vents that provide a steady stream of fuel in a roll over. Dash boards with protrusions similar to the wedges used to split rails. Points. Four wheel non-power drum brakes. AM only radios. Mild steel exhaust systems as the Midas boys look so lonely. Road draft tubes. I miss those when I ride my motorcycle on the street. 6 volt electrics. Non-synchro gearboxes--be a man. Learn to match the rpm's yourself. Road-hugging weight. Bias ply tires. Tube tires. Cotton cord tires. Nylon cord Dyna-Thump tires. Vacuum wipers. (move out to pass in rainstorm--all clear? GAS IT. Ooops--no wipers) Vacuum Tachs.

Must I go on?
