Kansas is clearly the most centralized meeting place. Kinda sucks for us Kanzans in a way, Because we won't be able to be in the convoy!!! That kinda sucks. With Ford being the major sponsor of the Kansas Speedway, and the F-150 plant there, KC is clearly the leader for the spot.

Well if it is somewhere like KC. The Speedway will rent out the area just outside the gates. They have car shows there and stuff. The inside of the track is pretty expensive. I hear like 20K plus you have to hire there clean up crew and other stuff so it would double that or tripple that. KC also has a 1/4 Dragstrip that might be available. maybe parking lots at Arrowhead.

I hear Springfeild is nice. Branson is way overcrowded and you can't get anywhere unless you walk.

It would be nice to have it where a lot af major hiways intersect. To make it easier for everyone to get to from all sides of the nation.

Anyways just throwing out some ideas. Ken probably already has the location nailed down. I'm sure we'll hear from him when he gets back from SEMA.

The Kansas area is fine with me , was just there for Fordtoberfest and it was only a 21.5 hour drive for us. We can do that again and the drags would be good to , I could bring the diesel drag truck.

I was just in Springfield about 2 weeks ago, it has I-40 going through it, which is easy to hook up to from other highways, that would be nice, not too far from me either, I would just hope the ole Bronco II would go that far

Springfield has a huge cave where they held speak easy's back during prohibition... Maybe we could rent that. Maybe they have an old still hidden in some back passage. You can drive trucks into that cave but only lowriders would fit thru the passages. Of course if we parked enuf SD trucks in the parking lot they might get into the cave anyway!

Ken, I really like the idea of a national meet. We could have all kinds of activities like a burnout contest, drag racing (if at a raceway), a banquet dinner for a meet and greet. And of course we would have to have a truck show.

As far as where, I like the idea of the KC area, and I'm not bieng biased cuz it's not that much further of a drive to springfield or branson for me but I really think KC has the most advantages in catering to an event like this. All in all sponsorship is what makes the show. Once there is a better idea of what we have to work with we can work on the details.

Just my 2 cents worth

my .02

Branson would be a nightmare, Its a beautiful place, but WAY too crowded. KC is a more logical choice, with KCI nearby the airfares would be reasonable I would think, Im pretty sure they are still considered a Hub? Plenty of activities around the KC area to keep people interested.

As far as events...definetly gotta have a truck show, the F150 plant tour would be cool! Burnout contest would also be awesome, onsite national vendors, food, maybe a cruise or poker run combined with a cookout. its all good!

Poker run, now that is a must have, cause those are a blast. (maybe at a race track of sorts, now that would be a blast of course safety first).

OK--my vote is for KC...I'll even bring my Karaoke and sing "Kansas City" just for grins and giggles.... and maybe a few fresh tomaters.

( My penney, nickel and dime jar is slowly building up. By event time, I ought to have enough saved for a partial gas up.)
