do i have EFI or a Carb on my '89 460
ok, dumb question, i know. i just bought a Class C motorhome with an E350 front clip and a 460. the PO shot some starter fluid in the intake once and blew the air cleaner housing apart. i just called a local ford wrecking yard, told him what i needed, and he said he didn't have any carburated 460's. i thougt i had EFI because the air filter housing is up front and not the round type typically seen on top of carbs.
can i get some help for this dumb question. i'm at work so i cant run out to check and i would like to pick it up today.
thanks

Should have an emission sticker on the core support or on the underside of the hood. That will tell you all about it.
If you can peak back in there, EFI will have a throttle body out in front of the intake manifold. Carb will have it's throttles down on the carb.
Have someone work the throttle and look for movement.
Movement out front away from the motor = EFI
Movement way in there on top of the motor, probably a carb... if you can see that far in, you will see the carb.
Also EFI will injectors on the intake runners just above each cylinder.
