Rust Warranty for 1998 F150

Does anyone know what the warranty is in regards to Rust for a 1998 F150? Does this only apply to the original owner? I bought a used one and just wondering if I have any type of warranty if this problem was to arise.

5 yrs unlimited miles.... perforation only.

Surface rust is covered under the 3yrs/36month base warranty.
